Observational data on galactic supernova remnants: I. The supernova remnants within l = 0◦ - 90◦

Abstract: We have collected all the available data on Galactic supernova remnants given in the literature. The data on Galactic supernova remnants located in the Galactic longitude interval l=0?-90? in all the spectral bands are presented in this work. We have established values of distance for the SNRs by examining these data. The data on various kinds on neutron stars connected to these supernova remnants are given. Not only the data, but also the comments to some of the authors and ourselves on the data and on some p… Show more

“…To complement the work of Sezer et al (2011), similarities of CTB 37A with other SNRs cannot be overlooked. Referring to Green et al (1997), which summarises SNRs with detected associated OH maser emission, and cross-checking these with SNR catalogues (Guseinov et al 2003(Guseinov et al , 2004a, a short list of OH maser-associated SNRs with estimated ages can be compiled: W28 (∼10 4 yr), W44 (∼10 4 yr), W51c (∼10 4 yr), IC 443 (∼10 3 yr), CTB 33 ( 10 5 yr) and G347+0.2 (∼10 3 yr). Of these, the first 4 SNRs have diameters of ∼15-35 pc, similar to CTB 37A which has dimensions of ∼0.12 • ×0.23 • and an average diameter of ∼24±5 pc at a distance of 7.9±1.6.…”
