Abstract:The blast furnace (BF) process is highly complex, involving multiple phases (gases, granular solids, liquids, and powders) undergoing various chemical and physical phenomena. Any improvement in BF productivity under a given set of operating conditions necessitates a better gas flow distribution through a layered burden structure in the BF. However, it is extremely difficult to directly measure or predict the internal flows in a BF. The main zone of unstable motion in a BF is generally the cohesive zone. Herein… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
