Observation of Pumping Reaction in an Amine-Based All Gas-Phase Iodine Laser Medium

Abstract: Different possible adsorption sites of rubidium atoms on a GaAs(110) surface have been investigated using ab-initio self-consistent Hartree-Fock energy cluster calculations followed by detailed correlation investigations at the level of fourth-order many-body perturbation theory. The Hay-Wadt effective core potentials have been used to represent the cores of the rubidium, gallium and arsenic atoms. We find that the Rb atom adsorption at a site modelled with a RbGa 5 As 4 H 12 cluster is most favoured energetic… Show more

“…The iodine reservoir is made of glass, and it is maintained at a temperature of 370 K to produce molecular iodine vapour, which is transported to the discharge tube by helium gas. NCl 3 was synthesized prior to the experiment and stored in a dry-ice/methanol bath [11].…”

“…Furthermore, the molecule is also considered for use in chemical lasers. [3] From the inorganic chemistry point of view, chloramines are of interest as a versatile reagent, and because of the low polarity of the N−Cl bond. [4] Note that the electronegativities of N and Cl are almost identical.…”
