Abstract:Red light harvesting with Eu 3+ graphene complexes are well known in the literature. But embedding Eu 2+ in a graphene oxide matrix is a difficult proposition and could be of paramount interest because of emission tunability. Herein, we report the observation of highly visible green luminescence for Eu 2+ which occurs due to the transition between the 4f 7 (8S 7/2 ) ground state and the 4f 6 5d excited state with nanosecond time decay through reduction of Eu 3+ using a simple chemical approach. This newly form… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
