“…Because only two branches were assigned for these two bands, we do not have enough information to determine their upper states. Beardah and Ellis [18] observed theB 02 R þ state of SrOH with an energy of 25 997 cm À1 . The Sr-O stretching mode (m 3 ) and the Sr-O-D bending mode (m 2 ) in the ground state of SrOD were determined to be 517 and 282 cm À1 , respectively [2,8,16].…”

“…Recently, using low-resolution laser excitation and dispersed fluorescence spectroscopy, Beardah and Ellis [17,18] have located the following five higher energy electronic states for SrOH:B 02 R þ (25 997 cm À1 ),C 2 P (27 303 cm À1 ),D 2 R þ (27 698 cm À1 ),Ẽ 2 R þ (29 990 cm À1 ), andF 2 P (32 985 cm À1 ). Our subsequent OODR study of theC 2 P-Ã 2 P 0 0 0 transition of SrOH [4] has been the only available high-resolution spectroscopic study on these states.…”

“…In theC 2 P 1=2 state the perturbation was observed around J = 36.5 and in theC 2 P 3=2 state around J = 21.5 of both e and f parity levels. TheB 0 2 R þ state, which was recently observed by Beardah and Ellis [12], has vibrational frequencies of 574 and 394 cm À1 for the Sr-O stretching mode (m 3 ) and the bending mode (m 2 ), respectively. The combination band 2 2 0 3 1 0 of this state can be expected around 27 360 cm À1 , which is nearly resonant with the 0 0 0 band of theC 2 P state (27 307 cm À1 ).…”

“…In this work they established band centers for theC 2 P-X 2 R þ , D 2 R þ -X 2 R þ ,Ẽ 2 R þ -X 2 R þ , andF 2 P-X 2 R þ transitions and carried out a vibrational analysis. In addition, they recently reported a new band system at 25 997 cm À1 [12], which they assigned as theB 0 2 R þ -X 2 R þ transition. The authors noted that the spectra of theC 2 P-X 2 R þ transition had a different appearance due to an irregular progression in the surprisingly active vibrational bending mode.…”

“…The first observation of the higher energy electronic states of SrOH was reported by Beardah and Ellis [12,13]. In their work they used pulsed laser excitation spectroscopy to record moderate resolution spectra of transitions originating from the 2 R + ground state to the e C 2 P, e D 2 R þ , e E 2 R þ , e F 2 P, and e B 02 R þ excited states in the range of 25 000-34 000 cm À1 .…”
