Observation of a collective flow in22Ne collisions with Ag(Br) emulsion nuclei at 4.1 A GeV/c

Abstract: In the collisions of 4.1 A GeV/c 22Ne with AgBr emulsion nuclei, events exhibiting projectile and target fragmentation have been selected. The characteristics of these events are not reproduced by the cascade-evaporation model. The angular distributions and correlation between projectile and target fragments have shown the "bounce off" of the former and the "side splash" of the latter.

“…It is interesting to investigate whether the hadronic clusters were accompanied by a baryonic one which is formed from target nucleus nucleons during the motion of the hadronic cluster inside the target nucleus. For this purpose, we used the method described in [17]. The method is based on the same principles used in searhpring for hadronic cluster.…”

“…It is known that violent collisions happen in the participant and weak excitations and cascade collisions happen in the spectator. The authors of references [10][11][12][13][14] analyzed the azimuthal angles of secondary particles and the transverse momentum of projectile fragments. The aim of the present research is to perform a systematic analysis of target fragmentation in 24 Mg and 28 Si with emulsion at 4.5 A GeV/c.…”
