Obesity Is Associated With Gene Expression and Imaging Markers of Iron Accumulation in Skeletal Muscle

Abstract: These findings emphasize a significant iron accumulation in human skeletal muscle in association with obesity. The mechanisms implicated in these observations should be studied further.
