O jornalismo no bardo televisivo: o protagonismo da imprensa em Anos Rebeldes

Abstract

This work aims to revisit the miniseries "Anos Rebeldes," produced in 1992 by Rede Globo de Televisão, to highlight the role played by journalism in documenting a period that is still denied in its magnitude and violence by a portion of contemporary Brazilian society. This historical falsification serves the interests of conservative and extreme right groups who vie for power and seek to act outside the boundaries of the so-called Rule of Law, which is fundamental to the democratic order. To achieve this, this work employs bibliographic and documentary research, as well as a Content Analysis of the 20 episodes of the production. The conclusion drawn is that journalism emerges as an institutional protagonist in the miniseries, providing the backdrop on which Gilberto Braga's fictional melodrama unfolds.
