Nutritional impact of elevated calcium transport activity in carrots

Abstract: Nutrition recommendations worldwide emphasize ingestion of plant-based diets rather than diets that rely primarily on animal products. However, this plant-based diet could limit the intake of essential nutrients such as calcium.
