Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of an education program for mothers of late-preterm infants on parenting confidence, breastfeeding rate, and infants’ growth and readmission rate.Methods: The participants were 53 mothers of late-preterm infants (26 in the experimental group and 27 in the control group). The experimental group was administered the late-preterm care education program while the control group received standard care. The program consisted of two sessions during hospitalization after birth, one session at the time of discharge, and telephone and social networking service consultations at weekly intervals for the month following discharge. The collected data were analyzed using the t-test, x<sup>2</sup> test, and repeated-measures analysis of variance.Results: Parenting confidence and the breastfeeding rate were significantly higher in the experimental group than in the control group. However, there was no significant difference in the late-preterm infants’ growth and readmission rates between the experimental and control groups.Conclusion: A care education program for mothers of late-preterm infants can be a useful nursing intervention in clinical practice.

Цель исследования -изучить основные факторы, предрасполагающие к рождению детей на сроках гестации 34-36 недель, особенности течения неонатального периода, структуру заболеваемости и смертности в условиях регионального перинатального центра. Материал и методы. Проведен ретроспективный анализ 380 медицинских карт стационарного больного пациентов областного перинатального центра ГБУЗ НСО «ГНОКБ», родившихся на сроках гестации 34-36 недель, за 2017-2018 гг. Результаты и их обсуждение. Все женщины с преждевременным поздним родоразрешением имели отягощенный соматический и/или акушерско-гинекологический анамнез. 70 % женщин были родоразрешены оперативным путем. Антропометрические характеристики поздних недоношенных детей в 85 % случаев соответствовали гестационному возрасту, у большинства из них неонатальный период протекал с развитием дыхательных нарушений, гипербилирубинемии, низкой толерантности к энтеральному питанию. Дети с меньшим гестационным возрастом более длительное время нуждались в респираторной поддержке. В связи с тяжелым состоянием при рождении около 40 % детей переведены из родильного зала в отделение реанимации и интенсивной терапии новорожденных. Четверть «поздних» недоношенных получали медицинскую помощь исключительно в условиях детского отделения перинатального центра. Показатель летальности составил 1 %. Таким образом, «поздние» недоношенные дети -это особая категория новорожденных, при выхаживании которых необходимо осуществлять своевременную диагностику патологических состояний, а также профилактику нарушений адаптации, особенно в ранний неонатальный период.Ключевые слова: поздние недоношенные, новорожденные, нарушения адаптации в неонатальном периоде, структура заболеваемости. Over 14.9 million babies are born prematurely across the world every year, and the number is still increasing (Heinonen et al., 2016).Due to immature gastrointestinal function, premature newborns especially those born before 34 weeks, are susceptible to feeding intolerance (FI) (Asadi et al., 2019), and its morbidity could achieve 70% (Ng et al., 2019). Currently, there is no universal definition of FI, the widely accepted one is the following: the gastric residual volume (GRV) was 50% greater than the last feeding volume, with abdominal distension or vomiting (Moore & Wilson, 2011).
