Nursing and Antimicrobial Stewardship: An Unacknowledged and Underutilized Focal Point

Abstract: Background: Nurses have the ability to play an important role in patient safety related to antibiotic use and overuse but are often not involved in antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASP).
