“…To solve this tri-diagonal system of equations, we have used the ''Tri-diagonal matrix algorithm'', usually referred as ''Thomas algorithm'' (cf. [47][48][49]). It may be mentioned here that instead of this, one could use Gauss elimination method.…”

“…On the basis of their experimental studies, Valvano et al [50] and Chato [51] reported the following data for human blood at a temperature T = 310°K: l ¼ 3:2 Â 10 3 kg=ms; c p ¼ 14:65 J=kg K and k ¼ 2:2 Â 10 À3 J=ms K Using these data, we find that the value of the Prandtl number Pr ¼ lc p k for human blood is 21. Keeping this in view and employing the data used by Ishak et al [45], Hayat et al [46], Sinha and Misra [49] and Makinde and Osalusi [52], we performed the computation for the following spectrum of values of different parameters: Figure 13 shows that the results do not change, if we further increase the number of grid points. Figure 14 establishes the validity of our results.…”

“…The effects of the governing parameters namely, the Reynolds number, the rheological parameter, the pressure gradient, the Darcy parameter, the Forchheimer quadratic drag parameter, the hydromagnetic parameter, the Schmidt number, the chemical reaction parameter and the Prandtl number, are discussed. In literature, many researchers (for example, Sinha and Misra 15 & Misra et al 16 ) have studied the steady flow through parallel plate channel to model the uniform blood flow through arteries. In some diseases, a porous structure is formed inside the arteries, by fatty substances (cholesterol and blood clots), as mentioned by Ritman and Lerman, 17 and Khaled and Vafai.…”

“…Similarly, different investigators conjointly turned up a detailed association between coronary flow reserve assessed with intracoronary Christian Johann Doppler probes and purpleheart stenosis by quantitative arthrography.A. Sinha and J. C. Mishra [3] studied the model of magnetic fields and perceived the numerical study of flow and heat transfer during an unhealthy artery throughout oscillating blood flow. During this model, they numerically investigated the results of heat transfer as well as mass transfer under unsteady hydro dynamic flow in a vessel once the lumen of the vessel has rapt as a porous structure.…”
