Numerical Study of Dynamic Properties of Fractional Viscoplasticity Model

Abstract: Abstract:The fractional viscoplasticity (FV) concept combines the Perzyna type viscoplastic model and fractional calculus. This formulation includes: (i) rate-dependence; (ii) plastic anisotropy; (iii) non-normality; (iv) directional viscosity; (v) implicit/time non-locality; and (vi) explicit/stress-fractional non-locality. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the above mentioned FV properties, together with a detailed discussion on a general 3D numerical implementation for the explicit time integr… Show more

“…It is worth mentioning that the other original approach presented in [40,41] leads to the analysis of anisotropic yield condition with application of fractional calculus. It might open a possibility of the energy-based Burzyński limit criterion as a basis for fractional formulation of viscoplasticity and plasticity models.…”

“…Innovative thermal measurement techniques could not only be used in ballistics, but in related dynamic areas too. Those techniques could be adopted in scientific studies regarding blast studies [ 18 , 19 , 20 ] but also in research regarding constitutive frameworks, such as [ 21 , 22 ]. Finally, the ballistic studies could be enhanced by thermal techniques, for instance in [ 23 ].…”
