“…Flow-3D excels in its free surface technology and efficient grid partitioning techniques [13,14] . Globally, Flow-3D has been used to simulate the evolution of flash floods [15] , the generation of pulse waves caused by landslides [16,17] , comparing and validating experimental values of water depth and flow velocity under different river curvature flow conditions, and estimating local erosion patterns [18,19] . Additionally, coupling methods such as Fluent-EDEM and PFC3D-FLAC3D are also employed for fluid-solid coupling simulations.…”

“…FLOW3D software models commonly employed to simulate impulse waves generated by landslides include rigid body models, elasto-visco-plasticity models, drift-flux, and granular flow models (Flow Science Inc 2020). Sabeti and Heidarzadeh (2022) validated and applied the FLOW3D-Hydro model by using solid-block submarine landslides moving downward at a fixed slope angle of 45°. They conducted 177 simulations applying the validated model by using three different sliding block sizes for investigating the sensitivity of landslide-generated waves to the variations of different parameters.…”
