Numerical Simulation of a Ground-Supported Solar Panel PV Array Subjected to Periodic Flow

Abstract: Detailed numerical modeling and research were conducted to assess the influence of wind loads on various solar arrays using commercial software such as Ansys. A large amount of damage has been recorded from solar arrays and mounting frames worldwide owing to strong winds. This paper exemplifies the analysis of displacement and stresses of the structure due to strong wind flow and wind load around the solar panel. Since the solar panels are located in the same panel array at the same spacing, we assume that per… Show more

“…It is possible to increase the energy intensity and, as a consequence, the temperature of the source of the heat by focusing sunbeams [4][5][6].Because this is a technology that can be used for both electrical and thermal conversions, and because it employs a completely clean and infinite source of energy, it is obvious that this is a solution that can assist to reduce the amount of fossil fuel that is utilized [5][6][7][8]. A mirror arrangement is used in all methods of concentrating solar power (CSP) to focus sunlight onto a single target and convert it to heat [9].…”

“…In the year 1839, Edmond Becquerel made the discovery that led to the development of the photovoltaic (PV) system. Because PV panel do not produce any pollutants, they are considered to be a kind of sustainable energy [10][11][12]. As a result of the factors that were discussed earlier, solar panels are currently utilized in the majority of countries throughout the world as a primary source for the generation of electrical energy.…”
