“…Herein, to describe the strength properties of the sold skeleton of the bone tissues, we used the model of elastic-brittle medium with von Mises' criterion of fracture. Previously, the verification and validation of poroelastic models of tissues of the femur and tibia based on the MCA method were carried out by Shilko et al (2021), Eremina et al (2019), andChirkov et al (2020).…”

“…A three-dimensional version of the method has been implemented in the in-house code MCA3D, which is written in C++ programming language and utilizes Qt library for the pre-and post-processing stages. This code was used in many papers of the authors and their colleagues, in particular, the verification and validation of poroelastic models of tissues of the femur and tibia, based on the MCA method, were carried out in [36][37][38]. A free code for the MCA method solver is also available as a part of the LIGGGHTS package [39]; however, it now provides a reduced functionality for elastic-plastic materials only.…”

“…The validation of the used poroelastic models of materials for the bone tissues of the knee joint was performed and published in the authors' previous papers [36,37,44].…”

“…Here we describe a numerical model of the mechanical behavior of fluid-saturated cancellous tissue during indentation used for validation of the developed model of fluid-saturated bone tissues [70].…”
