Numerical investigation on thrust efficiency dropping phenomenon of annular expansion–deflection nozzles

Abstract: The flow patterns in a large-expansion-ratio annular expansion–deflection (ED) nozzle are numerically investigated, focusing on the flow mechanisms underlying the sudden thrust efficiency (η) dropping phenomenon.
