Abstract: Flaw length has a significant effect on the cracking behaviour of fractured rock. PFC2D was used to simulate the uniaxial compression of red sandstone samples with secondary flaw lengths L2 of 0 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 and 20 mm under different primary flaw angles α(α = 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, and 90°).
