“…Natural convection flow and heat transfer characteristics in a rectangular cavities have received an important attention in the past decades. This importance due to its thermal performances in several applications such as cooling of electronic devices, food processing, drying technologies, solar collectors, energy storage systems, cooling technologies [1][2]. In a cavity, when the two vertical walls are differentially heated and the top and bottom walls are maintained under adiabatic conditions.…”

“…Also, laminar natural convection inside air-filled rectangular enclosures, heated from below and cooled from above, with the lower portions of both sidewalls maintained at the temperature of the bottom wall, and the remaining upper portions of the sidewalls maintained at the temperature of the top wall, is studied numerically Caronna et al [7]. While a natural convection in cubical enclosure with hot surface geometry and partial partitions has been analyzed by Zemani et al [8]. The geometry is a cube with a wavy hot surface (three undulations) and three partitions.…”

“…The flow field and heat transfer increase when the value of Darcy number is increased. (Zemani et al, 2014) have studied the effect of Partial Partitions on natural convection in air filled cubical enclosure with hot wavy surface, the geometry is a cube with wavy hot surface (three undulations) and three partitions the study showed that these partitions caused decrease of up 40% in the heat transfer with respect to the case at the same Rayleigh number. Also the increase of the high of partitions causes a decrease in the average Nusselt number.…”
