Abstract:In the past decades, several experimental investigations performed to the hydrodynamics and heat transfer in microscale laminar flow have showed divergences to the Darcy friction factor and the Poiseuille and Nusselt numbers, when the results obtained for the same ones were compared to those provided by classical theory. There are reports of deviations to the Darcy friction factor and the Poiseuille and Nusselt numbers attributed to geometric imperfections at the cross-section of the microchannels. The aim of … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
