Nükleer Santraller Hakkında Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenlerinin Görüşü: Akkuyu Örneği

Abstract: Bu çalışmada Mersin ilinin Gülnar ilçesinde bulunan fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin Mersin-Gülnar-Akkuyu bölgesine yapılması planlanan nükleer santrale ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Show more

“…On the other hand, it has been stated that nuclear energy accidents cannot be compensated and in this case there is a high risk. Similarly, in the study conducted by Tekgoz and Ercan Yalman (2020), codes such as environment, health, risks and threats emerged while examining the opinions of science teachers about the nuclear power plant. In this context, it can be said that the codes emerging in the study are compatible with the literature.…”

“…For this reason, it is believed that selecting the argumentation model developed by Erduran et al (2004) based on Toulmin's (2003) argumentation model would be appropriate in this study. On the other hand, literature review on socioscientific issues, the key concept in this research, shows that the studies on socioscientific issues in Turkey conducted with pre-service teachers have generally focused on participants' level of knowledge (Ayvacı, Bulbul & Turker, 2019), participants' attitude (Cebesoy, Donmez Sahin, 2013), identification of opinions (Sabıc, 2017;Tekgoz & Ercan Yalman, 2020;Turkmen, Pekmez & Saglam, 2017) and the argumentation process (Ozturk & Yenilmez Turkoglu, 2018;Yaman, 2012). When the studies are examined as research design, it can be said that studies are generally carried out with a quantitative approach (Genc & Genc, 2017).…”

“…Bir diğer çalışma grubunu konuyu inşa aşamasında nükleer santrallerin bulunduğu Sinop ve Akkuyu (Bakır, 2013;Demircioğlu & Uçar, 2014;Ünver, 2014;Yılar, 2014;Yıldız, 2015;Yılmaz, 2015;Furuncu, 2016;Gülsoy, 2018;Yıldız & Varol, 2018;Öcal, 2020;Pekmezci. 2020;Tekgöz & Yalman, 2020;Karagülle, 2021;Berk, Türker & Berk, 2022) özelinde ele alan çalışmalar oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmalara ek olarak nükleer enerji konusu nükleer santral kurulan alanlarda yerel halkın kabullenme düzeyi (Palabıyık, Yavaş & Aydın, 2010;Eş, Mercan & Ayas, 2016;Gülsoy, 2018;Oğul & Karaağaç, 2019;Pekmezci, 2020) ile öğretmen ve akademisyenler gibi meslek gruplarının santrale bakışı (Özdemir & Çobanoğlu, 2008;İşeri, 2012;Ateş & Saraçoğlu, 2013;Mukul, 2015;Sağlam, 2016;Sürmeli, Ayaz, Karakaş & Sarıkaya, 2016;Nesra & Recep, 2017;Dikmenli, Öztürk Demirbaş & Gafa, 2019) gibi farklı açılardan da incelenmiştir.…”

“…Majority of the studies on socioscientific issues carried out in Turkey focus on the views of the preservice teachers (Akbulut and Demir, 2020;Atalay and Çaycı, 2017;Kıvanç and Görgülü Arı, 2019;Sevim and Ayvacı, 2020;Türkmen, Pekmez ve Sağlam, 2017) and rare of them focused on elementary students' views on SSI (Yıldırım and Bakırcı, 2020) whereas international studies on socioscientific issues collect data from the inservice science teachers (Bosser ve Lindahl 2020;Friedrichsen, Ke, Sadler and Zangori, 2020;Gürbüzkol and Bakırcı, 2020;Tekgöz and Ercan Yalman, 2020). Although there are some studies in the latter group which analysed the views of the pre-service teachers' on socioscientific issues, the studies carried out in Turkey rarely deal with how socioscientific studies can be integrated into the courses.…”
