Abstract:Background:
Thioredoxin 1 (Trx-1) is a small redox protein predominantly localized in the cytoplasm. Its expression is increased in several cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the function of Trx-1 translocation to the nucleus in cancer is not clear. In this study, we investigated the role of Trx-1 nuclear translocation in development of CRC.
Methods:
Expression of Trx-1 and STAT3 was analyzed by Western blot and immunofluorescence. Endogenous interaction of … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
