Nuclear Membranes

Abstract: The nuclear envelope (NE) is a double membrane barrier that separates the nuclear content from the cytoplasm. The outer nuclear membrane is contiguous with the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The perinuclear space or lumen separates the nuclear membranes.
