Nuclear energy as environmentally friendly energy and international politics

Abstract: The growth of the world's human population demands greater energy fulfillment and the main energy source that has been used so far is fossil fuels. Nuclear energy produced in a nuclear reactor is used as a competitive contributor with other sources of electrical energy such as coal, oil, gas, water, and others. So that the contribution of energy from various aspects becomes something that must be taken as a mutually beneficial strategic partner in meeting future energy needs that are economical and environment… Show more

“…The authors proposed a comprehensive diagnosis of power equipment and forecasting of the service life based on a study of the stress-strain state of elements and calculation of the residual life by analyzing the degree of metal degradation. Based on the proposed methodology for determining the number of permissible load cycles under different operating conditions, the authors of [4,17,20] proposed a model for managing the safety of nuclear power units using international regulatory and legislative requirements, as described in [18,[23][24][25], and an algorithm for predicting further operations within the design and beyond the design life.…”

“…From the perspective of nuclear reactor safety, research and accident risk assessments demonstrate that adverse events occur at a low rate compared to the overall estimated risk to human life in general. To reduce risks and elevate the safety level of power plant equipment, continuous efforts are required to enhance safety systems, safety management, and human resources [7,8].…”

“…Thus, nuclear energy plays a vital role in promoting sustainable economic development and maintaining its reputation as a "green" energy necessitates the active involvement of all stakeholders in ensuring operational safety. As indicated in references [7][8][9][10][11][12], the shift towards a circular, "green" economy is a gradual process, and the energy sector necessitates support and diligent attention to safety at every level and stage of power facility equipment operation.…”
