Nuclear dynamics in the homothallic ascomycete Sordaria fimicola

Abstract: BackgroundThe coprophilous ascomycete Sordaria fimicola usually reproduces sexually. Sexual differentiation in S. fimicola is accompanied by cellular and morphological changes, followed by multicellular tissue development to complete the sexual cycle.
