Nuclear Data Sheets for A = 241

Abstract: Available information pertaining to the nuclear structure of ground and excited states for all known nuclei with mass numbers A=241 have been compiled and evaluated. The adopted level and decay schemes, as well as the detailed nuclear properties and configuration assignments based on experimental data are presented for these nuclides. When there are insufficient data, expected values from systematics of nuclear properties or/and theoretical calculations are quoted. Unexpected or discrepant experimental results… Show more

“… a Activity of the source at the date of the efficiency calibration (20.07.2021), calculated using (432.6 ± 0.6) y as the half-life of 241 Am, as reported in 45 . The activity of the 241 Am standard source used for efficiency calibration is indicated as well.…”

“…Data acquisition and analysis were done using the Genie™ 2000 Alpha Analysis Software. Energy calibration of the detector was performed with a mixed source of 239 Pu (t 1/2 = 2.41 y, I α = 70.77% at E α = 5.157 MeV (Browne and Tuli, 2014)), 241 Am (t 1/2 = 432.8 y, I α = 84.8% at E α = 5.486 MeV (Nesaraja, 2015)), and 244 Cm (t 1/2 = 18.1 y, I α = 76.90% at E α = 5.805 MeV (Akovali, 2003)) α-source.…”

“…All distributions without samples were fitted separately with Gaussian functions to obtain the mean channel value of each peak. A linear energy calibration of the detector was obtained by fitting the energy values of the alphas for 239 Pu, 241 Am and 244 Cm (from [36,37,38]) as a function of these channel values. In the same way, distributions obtained with Mylar foils were also fitted with Gaussian functions and converted into energy using the energy calibration.…”
