Novos táxons sul-americanos de Compsocerini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)

Abstract: New South American taxa of Compsocerini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae). The following new genus and species, all from Bolivia, are described in Compsocerini: Ecoporanga gen. nov., type species E. achira sp. nov., Dilocerus brunneus sp. nov., Rierguscha florida sp. nov., from Santa Cruz, and Ethemon iuba sp. nov. from Cochabamba.

“…Goatacara gen. nov., é semelhante a Caperonotus Napp, 1993, pelos processos intercoxais largos, o mesosternal entalhado, cavidades procoxais pouco angulosas aos lados, pernas curtas com os fêmures clavados e inermes, fronte curta, escapo cilín-drico e sem depressão na base, antenômeros III-V com espinho apical interno e élitros um pouco expandidos para trás com as extremidades arredondadas e inermes. Além disso, G. boliviana, espécie-tipo descrita abaixo, tem os élitros bicolores, muito densa e uniformemente pontuados em toda a superfície, e a face ventral e as pernas são lisas, brilhantes, quase sem pontos, como nas espécies de Caperonotus (Napp, 1993b). O novo gênero distingue-se de Caperonotus: 1) genas pouco mais longas que o lobo ocular inferior; 2) artículos apicais dos palpos maxilares e labiais dilatados para o ápice; 3) antenas sem sulcos ou carenas, desprovidas de sistema porífero e mais curtas que o corpo na fêmea; 4) protórax mais largo que longo, com gibosidades laterais, a maior largura no meio; 5) pronoto com sulco basal e gibosidades dorsais, sem estrias transversais; 6) élitros com costa dorsal.…”
