Novel γ‐Al2O3 Supported Low Concentrated Pd Nanoalloy Catalyst for Improved Hydrogenation Ability of 2‐Methylfuran

Abstract: Pd−Al was constructed to deal with the issue that cyclic unsaturated compounds are unstable in hydrogenation reaction. Hydrogenation of 2‐methylfuran as a probe reaction in the fixed‐bed reactor afforded up to 99.9% yield and 100% chemo‐selectivity requiring only 100 °C and 2 MPa pressure.
