Abstract:Methane is the major component of many gas sources such as natural gas and shale gas and more than 500 million tons of methane is produced every year. Unfortunately, most of it is burnt as an energy source due to difficulties in converting it into easily transportable fuels. Oxidative and non-oxidative coupling of methane (OCM and NOCM) has been actively researched to produce ethylene and higher olefins from methane although catalysts with commercially viable conversion rates have not been developed yet.[1] El… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
