Novel multiple-access interference reduction technique for multiuser FH-OFDM networks

Abstract: In this work, a novel solution is proposed to reduce the impact of multiple access interference (MAI) in multiuser frequency hopping (FH) networks based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In the proposed scheme, the sam ples in each transmitted OFDM block are collected from different OFDM symbols. At the receiver side, restoring the original samples' order spreads the samples of any OFDM block with MAI over several OFDM symbols. Consequently, the impact of the MAI is remarkably reduced.
