Novel method of breaking down barriers in the provision of menopause care in Ireland

Abstract: There is a surge in demand for menopause care and hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in Ireland on a background of neglect of a generation of healthcare professionals’ (HCPs) education in this area. Lack of knowledge of evidence regarding the benefit/risk ratio of personalised HRT is a barrier to providing menopause care. Education of undergraduates and HCP takes investment of time and money.
