Abstract:This work aims to prepare and characterize the unburned carbon obtained from gasification residues and evaluate its application as an adsorbent for the removal of textile dye contaminants. The results of physical and chemical properties showed a specific mass of 2.05 g/cm3, surface area of 23.983 g/cm2, and diameter and pore volume of 0.844 nm and 2.262 cm3/g, respectively.
