Abstract:This chapter describes the recent advances in electrochemical processes used for organic synthesis, including parallel batch systems and flow systems. Parallel batch systems allow simultaneous electrochemical reactions to be performed with multiple batches, and flow systems allow efficient sequential syntheses to be carried out by changing the substrates pumped into the flow reactor. The use of bipolar electrodes, which are not connected to the electrodes, has enabled the production of polymer brushes and micr… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
