Coumarins with terpene and tert‐butyl substituents were synthesized via Pechmann condensation reaction. New derivatives were investigated in different model system for the exhibition of antioxidant, radical scavenging and membrane‐protective activities. It has been found that 4‐methylcoumarin derivatives with monoterpene moieties exhibit high antioxidant activities. The most active and promising for further investigations is 5‐hydroxy‐6,8‐diisobornyl‐4‐methylcoumarin, containing two isobornyl substituents on the benzopyran ring.

Further rheological fluid control agents such as caustic soda for pH control, poly-sal for filtration control, and XC-polymer for viscosity control are added [4][5][6]. Drilling fluid or mud is essential fluid in drilling operation which has many important properties and one of the important properties is the viscosity of the drilling fluid and the viscosity is further classified as yield viscosity and plastic viscosity which means different in terms of its function. This paper is attempting to show the rheological characteristics of the different samples of the drilling fluid using Xanthan Gum and Physillum husk and different weighting agents Barite andCalcium Carbonate at ambient conditions. The results showed that xanthan gum acts as good viscosifying agent as compared with physillum husk. In addition that, the water based drilling mud with barite which act as weighing agent proved better as compared with calcium carbonate. The following paper will be valuable to the graduates, future graduates and also to the Industry personnel have a basic idea about the rheology and how the parameters related to the rheology are valuable in mud design.

Abstract: Colouration of textile materials is most important step in whole chemical processing of textiles department. There are various sources of obtain colours/dyes for the application. Natural dyes are the one of the emerging area in the field of dyeing of textile materials due to their eco-friendly in nature. In the present study the kasunda flower powder is used as a dye along with the mordants, which improves the dye up take and colour strength. The kasunda flower powder and natural mordants were applied in different concentrations to cotton fabrics and measured the colour strength in terms of K/S and washing fastness properties.
