Abstract: The perpendicular orientation of nanowires to electric fields would greatly improve the breakdown strengths (Eb) of polymer-based nanocomposites, however, the relatively small polarization at small filler fraction, and thus the unsatisfactory discharged energy density (Ud), greatly restrict their further application.
