Abstract:Novel broadbandTHz detectors have been developed within a cooperation project. A carbon nanotube based black coating on a thin pyroelectric foil together with a patented 3D radiation trap design result in a spectrally flat power responsivity in a broad THz spectral range. A second promising approach to an even wider spectral range will be feasible by using thin film metal absorber on the pyroelectric foil.
