ThecatalyticoxidativeperformanceofMg鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 hydrotalcite,Co鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 hydrotalcite,Ru鄄 Co(OH) 2 鄄CeO 2 waswelldesignedandtunedwithsubstitutionmethod.TheXRDcharacterizationpresentedthat boththeMg鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 catalystandCo鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 catalystcouldkeephydrotalcitestructureafterthepartialsub鄄 stitutionofAlwithRu.However,afterthesubstitutionofAlwithCe,thestructureoftheobtainedRu鄄Co(OH) 2 鄄 CeO 2 catalystwasmicrocrystalsofcobalthydroxideandceriumoxide.TheresultsofXPSandRu K鄄edgeXAFS suggestedthattheisolatedRuatominMg鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 hydrotalcitewassurroundedby 6 oxygenatomswithonly onetypeofRu鄄O shells,whichcatalyzedalcoholsoxidationefficiently; theisolatedRuatominCo鄄Al鄄Ru鄄CO 3 hydrotalcitewassurroundedby 6 oxygenatomswithtwotypesofRu鄄O shells,thereinunsaturatedRu=Odouble bondwasresponsibleforhighercatalyticefficientforalcoholsoxidation;theisolatedRuatominRu鄄Co(OH) 2 鄄CeO 2 catalystsurroundedby 5 oxygenatomswithtwotypesofRu鄄O shells,thereintheunsaturatedcoordinationofRu wasthekeytoattainhigherabilityforvariouskindsofalcoholsoxidation.
