Notice of Retraction Shaping of continuous carbon fibre reinforced 5A06 composites by vacuum anti-pressure infiltration technology

Abstract

This paper studies key parameters of continuous carbon fibre reinforced 5A06 composites technique by the vacuum anti-pressure infiltration. Production steps of composites are generally described as follows: preform manufacturing, liquid metal infiltration by gas pressure and finishing. Results illustrate that besides the remained ratio of fibre tensile strength, the compression strength of fiber preform is remarkably influenced by temperature and mechanical properties of composites. When preform temperature decreased from 680°C to 620°C and the fibres are coated C-Al 2 O 3 layer, the tensile strength of the composites increased from 69MPa to 651MPa.
