Notice of Retraction: An improved resource scheduling approach using Job Grouping strategy in grid computing

Abstract: Grid computing is a group of clusters connected over high-speed networks that involves coordinating and sharing computational power, resource utilization is an important issue. That's why some new technique needed to maximize Grid resource utilization. This paper proposes grid level resource scheduling with Job Grouping strategy that maximizes the resource utilization and minimizes processing time of jobs. Also Best Fit followed by Round Robin policy applies at local level to achieve better performance. This me… Show more

“…In Sharma et al (2010), an agent-based dynamic resource scheduling model using a first-come-first-serve-Job grouping strategy is introduced. In this paper, the Grid resource selection strategy is based on max heap tree (MHT) that is appropriate for large scale application and the root node of MHT is selected for job submission.…”

“…Job grouping strategy [7] is used to improve that increase the utilization of the resource and decrease the processing time of jobs in grid computing environment. The resource and job scheduling model is divided into three levels user level, global level and local level (cluster level).Grid computing is a combination of different clusters and a combination of nodes is called as cluster.…”
