Abstract:Background: Notch signaling is an evolutionarily conserved pathway that dictates cell fate decisions in mammalian cells including megakaryocytes. Existence of functional Notch signaling in enucleate platelets that are generated as cytoplasmic buds from megakaryocytes still remains elusive.
