Normalization of and Finite-Range Effects in (He3,d) and (

Abstract: The effects of including a realistic wave function for the 3 He ion on the predictions of the distorted-wave theory for stripping and pickup reactions are studied in some detail. On the assumption that the 3 He ion and triton are similar, the results are carried over to reactions involving the triton. Good agreement with experiment is found.

“…In this formula, the factor of 4.43 is the commonly admitted value [53] to describe the d ⊗ p| 3 He overlap function in the ( 3 He, d) reaction, the C factor is the Clebsch-Gordon coefficient coupling the isospins of the target and final nuclei and the transferred particle (in the present case of the 7 Li( 3 He,d) 8 Be reaction, C 2 = 1/2 for the final states, T = 0, 1),…”

“…The study of the nucleus 26 Mg is important in nuclear physics as well as from nuclear astrophysics point of view as it is the radioactive decay product of 26 Al. The nucleus 26 Al is the first cosmic radioactivity detected through its characteristic γ rays in the interstellar medium and its importance and origin have been investigated widely in the previous years [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Very recent study of the reaction 23 Na(α,p) 26 Mg stated that the reaction 23 Na(α,p) 26 Mg directly influences the production of 26 Al [7].…”

Very recent study of the reaction 23 Na(α,p) 26 Mg stated that the reaction 23 Na(α,p) 26 Mg directly influences the production of 26 Al [7]. As being the radioactive decay product of 26 Al, the observed excess of 26 Mg in meteorites [8], presolar dust [9,10], the presence of excess 26 Mg resulting from the decay of 26 Al in calcium-aluminium-rich inclusions (CAIs) and ferromagnesian silicate spherules (chondrules) from Allende meteorite [11] shows that the study of 26 Mg is also important to understand the origin of 26 Al.…”
