“…At variance, however, is a report in the rat (Schalch & Reichlin, 1966) where no increases in GH were observed 3-5 days before or after delivery. In man, both high and low values during pregnancy or lactation have been reported (see Spellacy & Buhi, 1969;Spellacy, Buhi & Birk, 1970, for reviews).
