Norepinephrine and Epinephrine: Introduction

Abstract: The catecholamines, norepinephrine and epinephrine (formerly named noradrenaline and adrenaline) are released from the adrenal gland and neurons in the brain. Norepinephrine is also released from the majority of postganglionic, sympathetic neurons in the peripheral (autonomic) nervous system.
