Арктика как уникальный и стратегический регион является объектом многих междисциплинарных исследований отечественных и зарубежных ученых. Данная статья посвящена тематической характеристике материалов об арктическом регионе, сформированных на основе публикаций в электронной версии японской газеты «Асахи Симбун» (朝日新聞) за период с 2020 по 2022 гг. Актуальность данного исследования обусловлена тем, что тематические доминанты позволят определить основные информационные поводы японских СМИ в арктических вопросах, влияющих на восприятие Арктики массовой аудиторией. Целью исследования является выявление тематической классификации материалов об Арктике, оказывающих влияние на формирование образа региона у массовой аудитории японских интернет-ресурсов. В работе используются контекстуальный и сравнительно-сопоставительный методы исследования. В результате исследования выделяются четыре основные тематические группы: «геополитическая ситуация», «вопросы экологии, проблемы таяния льдов, глобальное потепление климата», «Арктика как физико-географический объект», «Арктика в сравнении», свидетельствующие о всесторонней вовлеченности японских медиа в идею освоения Арктики. Изученные материалы говорят о комплексном характере формирования образа Арктики в японских СМИ, что еще более подтверждает повышенный интерес Японии как одной из основных морских держав к Арктическому региону. The Arctic as a unique and strategic region is the object of many interdisciplinary studies of domestic and foreign scientists. This article is devoted to the thematic characteristics of materials about the Arctic region, formed on the basis of publications in the electronic version of the Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun (朝日新聞) for the period from 2020 to 2022. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that the thematic dominants will determine the main informational occasions of the Japanese media in the Arctic issues that affect the perception of the Arctic by the mass audience. The purpose of the study is to identify the thematic classification of materials about the Arctic that influence the formation of the image of the region among the mass audience of Japanese Internet resources. The work uses contextual and comparative methods of research. As a result of the study, four main thematic groups are distinguished: «geopolitical situation», «environmental issues, problems of ice melting, global warming», «The Arctic as a physical and geographical object», «The Arctic in comparison», indicating the full involvement of the Japanese media in the idea exploration of the Arctic. The studied materials speak of the complex nature of the formation of the image of the Arctic in the Japanese media, which further confirms the increased interest of Japan as one of the main maritime powers in the Arctic region.

The research addresses to the anthropocentric aspect of a literary text and mental representations of the Arctics in the author's image of the world. The relevance of this study is defined by the demand for humanitarian knowledge and culture of the inhabitants of the Arctic regions in connection with the technological development of the Arctics. The goal of this article is to design a model of textual associative semantic micro-fields WINTER and MAN in the Arctic discourse of Soviet-era author Yuri Shamshurin and identify the points where these micro-fields meet or cross each other. The study is focused on those lexical items which participate in building the secodary reality in Shamshurin’s short stories. The novelty of the study lies in applying congnitive-discursive approach to the study of the Arctic fictional discourse. The key methods of analysis used in this study are field analysis, lexical-and-semantic analysis, contextual analysis and cognitive interpretation method. As a result of the study, the nuclear lexical-and-thematic groups of the microfields MAN and WINTER were identified, such as CRAFT and WIND, as well as the intersection points of lexical-and-thematic groups for both microfields. The main attributes of winter identified in the mental representation of the Arctic discourse in Shamshurin’s short stories are wind and cold, being the phenomena which a man encounters first and foremost during his daily activities. The northern lights, which have no intersections with the microfield MAN but represent a unique natural phenomenon, are also one of the main attributes. In addition, it has been revealed that when lexical-and-thematic groups intersect their boundaries become mobile, which can lead to the creation of a new lexical-and-thematic subgroup within the microfield. An issue has been revealed that is connected with defining the lexical-andthematic groups containing lexical items that perform an artistic function in a particular story, such as a plot-forming or symbolic function. In this case, they are not representative of their group in a given microfield.

‘Imagination of North’ in Author’s Landscape of V. L. Seroshevsky

The author of the article refers to the comprehension of a personal biographical narrative, which reflects a person’s ideas about the geographical environment, that is, the phenomenon of “imagination of space”. The relevance of the study is explained by the fact that modern humanities develop and apply new methodological principles and approaches to identify mechanisms for adapting a person in fundamentally different, “foreign” conditions. The material of the study was the ego-documents, memoirs and fiction of V. L. Seroshevsky, a Polish political exile who spent 12 long years in Yakutia. The aim of the study is to identify the content basis of Vaclav Seroshevsky’s geopoetics, which consists in modeling and transforming the image of the North through the prism of “living and experiencing” space. The methodological principles of modern cross-cultural research, where human life is a narrative structure are applied in the article. As a result of historical-cognitive and linguo-culturological analysis, Seroshevsky’s autobiographical chronotope, consisting of three periods, broadcasting the formation, development and transformation of the geocultural image of the North, was analyzed for the first time. Three actual images-topoi (sea, forest, steppe valley) associated with the emotive-sensual factor that influenced the author’s landscape of Vaclav Seroshevsky were identified.
