Nonvolatile Resistive Switching Memory Utilizing Cobalt Embedded in Gelatin

Abstract: This study investigates the preparation and electrical properties of Al/cobalt-embedded gelatin (CoG)/ indium tin oxide (ITO) resistive switching memories. Co. elements can be uniformly distributed in gelatin without a conventional dispersion procedure, as confirmed through energy dispersive X-ray analyzer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy observations. With an appropriate Co. concentration, Co. ions can assist the formation of an interfacial AlOx layer and improve the memory properties. High ON/OFF ratio, … Show more

“…Figure e displays the O 1s core-level spectrum from XPS, which can be separated into three subpeaks by Gaussian fitting. High resolution allowed for built-up combination energies of 529.9, 530.1, and 531.2 eV, indicating the simultaneous presence of three different chemical states of oxygen on the sample surface that are associated respectively with the nonlattice oxygen, lattice oxygen, and surface hydroxyls in the oxygen-deficient regions . The high-resolution XPS spectrum of Ag 3 d 5/2 was further examined in Figure f, which revealed two individual peaks located at 367 and 373.1 eV, representing Ag + and Ag 0 , respectively.…”
