Nonplanar dust-ion-acoustic double layers in a dusty nonthermal plasma

Abstract: [1] The possibility for the formation of the dust-ion-acoustic (DIA) double layers (DLs) in a four-component dusty nonthermal plasma (containing nonthermal electrons, inertial ions, and stationary positively as well as negatively charged dust) has been theoretically investigated by deriving a modified Gardner (MG) equation. The latter has been numerically analyzed in order to identify the basic features of the nonplanar (cylindrical and spherical) DIA DLs. The DIA DLs (that are shown to be associated only with… Show more

“…In the present work we have studied nonlinear wave with mK-dV equation. To observe the higher order nonlinearity one can derive modified Zakharov Kuznetsov (mZK) equation [71], Gardner equation [72], [73] which is combined into KdV-mKdV equations, modified Gardner equation [74], Kadomtsov Petviashivilli (KP) equation [75], Gardner KP (GKP) equation [76] and nonlinear Scrhodinger equation [77]. We have intuit the model based on the study of different astrophysical plasma systems like localized electrostatic disturbances in space (viz.…”

“…To explain the effects of nonthermal plasma species on the basic characteristics of the plasma system, containing fast nonthermal plasma species, Cairns et al [23]introduced a distribution function followed by those plasma species. After this pioneering work of Cairns et al a number of authors have studied the effects of nonthermal plasma species on different electrostatic propagation modes in a dusty plasma system containing negatively charged dust [5,24,25,27]. The above cited works [5,24,25,27] are confined to negatively charged dust and nonthermal ions or electrons of single temperature only.…”

“…In reality, this solution is the double layer (DL) solution that has been shown in some recently published articles. [3][4][5][6][7][8][9] In fact, the GSs solution is completely different from their solution and has been studied by several authors 2,[6][7][8][9][10][11] We would like to point out the fact that both Gardner SWs and DLs are the solutions of the standard Gardner (sG) equation, which has been described elaborately in Refs. 2 and 3.…”
