Nonlinear switched systems with state dependent dwell-time

Abstract: The asymptotic convergence of nonlinear switched systems in the presence of disturbances is studied in this paper. The system switches among a family of integral input-testate stable systems. The time between two consecutive switchings is not less than a value m. This dwell-time TD is allowed to take different values according to a function whose argument is the state of the system at the switching times. We propose a dwelltime function which depends on the comparison functions which characterize the integral … Show more

“…(25), adaptive update laws are derived as (27), and the switching signals with average dwelltime method are chosen as (17). Then, it can be guaranteed that the resulting closedloop switched system is asymptotically stable in Lyapunov sense such that the output tracking error e remains in a bounded compact set Ω e specified as Ω e :…”

“…[3,4,17]: Given some family of switching signals Θ, for each σ and each t ≥ t 0 ≥ 0, let N σ (t 0 , t) denotes the number of discontinuities of σ in the interval [t 0 , t). For given τ D , N 0 > 0, we denote by Θ ave [τ D , N 0 ] the set of all switching signals for which…”

“…Until now, a lot of efforts have been made for the stability analysis and design of the switched systems, and some results have been reported, see [11,19,21,26] and the reference therein. In [5,6,23], a set of linear systems are used as individual subsystems of switched system.…”

“…For switched systems under constrained switching, the single Lyapunov function and the multiple Lyapunov function methods are effective [15,16]. In addition, as a class of typical constrained switching signals, the average dwell time (ADT) is of practical and theoretical significance to study the stability of the switched systems [17,18]. The ADT means that the number of switches in a finite interval is bounded and the average time between consecutive switchings is not less than a constant.…”
