Abstract:This work studies the effects of a through-flow on two-dimensional electrohydrodynamic (EHD) flows of a dielectric liquid confined between two plane plates, as a model problem to further our understanding of the fluid mechanics in the presence of an electric field. The liquid is subjected to a strong unipolar charge injection from the bottom plate and a pressure gradient along the streamwise direction (forming a Poiseuille flow). Highly-accurate numerical simulations and weakly nonlinear stability analyses bas… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
