Nonlinear optical properties in bismuth-based glasses

Abstract: A series of glasses with high Bi 2 O 3 content of Bi 2 O 3 -B 2 O 3 -WO 3 ternary system were chosen and prepared .Their densities and linear refractive indices increase with increasing WO 3 content. The optical band gaps E opt of glasses obtained from ultraviolet absorption edges decreases with increase of WO 3 content. Z-scan technique was carried out to investigate the third-order nonlinear optical properties of the glasses. It is found that the nonlinear refraction γ increases with decreasing the optical b… Show more

“…[18] At present, ozone has been widely used in the treatment of oily wastewater, and relevant studies have proved that ozone can effectively decompose petroleum hydrocarbon organic pollutants in water. [19,20] In addition, ozonation has been already used to treat PAH and residual oil in contaminated soil. [21,22] No secondary pollution, high oxidation potential and no sludge generation make ozonation an attractive method.…”

“…Ozonation is considered as a promising oxidants for sludge disintegration and it could destroy non‐degradable organic materials into smaller soluble substances [18] . In addition, ozonation has been already used to treat PAH and residual oil in contaminated soil [21,22] .…”
