Abstract:The nonlinear dynamic behaviors of nonlinear viscoelastic shallow arches subjected to external excitation are investigated. Based on the d'Alembert principle and the Euler-Bernoulli assumption, the governing equation of a shallow arch is obtained, where the Leaderman constitutive relation is applied.
